Can we go out and have fun?

Amazon World - The largest collection of rare and exotic animals, birds, reptiles, fish and insects on the island all housed in specially constructed buildings to create a range of diverse habitats. Animal displays, Falconry displays using Hawks, Falcons, Owls, Eagles and Vultures. Amazon world has something for all ages. As well as animals, there is a giant Jurassic themed adventure play park and a smaller play area called Dino Babes for the under 5's.

Blackgang Chine - Over 40 acres of spectacular cliff-top gardens with attractions, shows and rides for all the family. You'll find a magical mix of fantasy, legend, heritage and fun.

Butterfly World - A colourful and enthralling experience as you watch hundreds of exotic
& Fountain World butterflies from around the world fly freely in the tropical indoor garden.
A first for the island are the state of the art computer controlled jets of water with fountains ponds and streams.

Fort Victoria - Marine Aquarium see the variety of creatures living off our shores,
A model railway exhibition (the biggest in Britain). Sunken history exhibition discover the work of marine archaeologists and Island Planetarium, A simulation of the starry sky on a dark clear night all seen from the comfort of an armchair.

The Needles - Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, there's breathtaking scenery, a spectacular chairlift, childrens rides, glassworks, a sweet factory and the famous coloured sands of Alum bay.

Owl & Falconry Centre - Flying displays daily with birds of prey from around the world. A well stocked shop, the Aviary café and an indoor flight barn in case it's wet.
Rare breeds centre conservation and breeding centre, approved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, where you can wander beside natural ponds and streams set in 30 acres of outstanding coastal beauty.

Owl & Monkey Haven - the Isle of Wight's multi-award winning animal attraction. - Speedway racing with the premier league Wightlink Islanders Speedway Team every Tuesday evening from 7:30pm. Two teams, 15 heats, 80mph, full throttle and no brakes. Accidents are a fact of life.

What else can we do?

Appuldurcombe House - Once the grandest and most striking house on the Isle of Wight. Now mainly a shell, the 18th century baroque elegance is still noticeable today in the partly restored building. Admire the delightful east front and stroll peacefully through Capability Brown's idyllic ornamental gardens and 11 acres of grounds.

Adgestone Vineyard - The Oldest Vineyard on the Island and probably in Britain! Est.1968
With free entry, free wine tasting and guided cellar tours daily at 2:30pm.

Brading Roman Villa - See the magnificent mosaic floor in the finest roman villa. A large and complex house with farm buildings grouped around a courtyard.

Carisbrooke Castle - Charles I was at first treated as an honoured guest, enjoying the odd game of bowls on the green. However, his attempted escape through a window in the 'Constables lodgings' bought an end to his freedom. He was then held here until his execution in January 1649.

Osborne House - The countryside retreat of Queen Victoria for over 50 years. Walk through the private rooms, including the sitting room in which Queen Victoria and Prince Albert worked side by side, the royal nursery and even the royal bathrooms as the life of one of England's most beloved monarchs is revealed.

Ventnor Garden - An exhilaration of leafy luxuriance with the fragrance of flowers in a kaleidoscope of colour.

Waltzing Waters - Elaborate water, light and music production set in a modern air-conditioned theatre seating 280 people.

Westridge Golf Centre - 9 Hole pay as you play, floodlit driving range, large golf shop, professional golf tuition and a fully licensed clubhouse.
